BANGKOK: -- The government’s reserve fund at the end of August was registered at 265 billion baht reflecting its strong fiscal position which will be sufficient to meet its requirements for budgetary expenditure and economic stimulus.

Mr Krisda Jinavijarana, director of Fiscal Economics Office, said Tuesday that the government’s cash revenue for the first 11 months of 2015 fiscal year totaled 1.95 trillion baht representing an increase of 7.4 percent over last year’s 1.34 trillion baht for the same period.

Disbursed expenditure amounted to 2.4 trillion baht constituting an increase of 7.6 percent or 170 billion baht. This has resulted to 265 billion baht in reserve fund ending August.

For the first 11 months of the fiscal year, Mr Krisda said the government managed to collect 1.99 trillion baht in revenues which were however 113 billion baht lower than projection.

The Revenue Department’s revenue collection fell short of projection by 20.6 billion baht. Excise Department’s revenue collection exceeded projection by 16.9 billion baht while Customs tax collection dropped 65.2 billion baht from projection.

“There are three types of lies -- lies, damn lies, and statistics.”

This is the 3rd contradiction on the state of the economy today...coffee1.gif

Really?

Two months ago (2015-07-24) Bank of Thailand reported,

"The recent weakening of Thai baht has reduced Thailand’s foreign reserves by US$ 1.5 billion or 52.3 billion baht to US$ 157.3 billion or 5.376 trillion baht against US dollars as of July 17 …. Thailand’s foreign reserves are at high level and are sufficient to maintain economic stability."

The economy is running on fumes.

They are two different things. The OP is about the annual budget and how it is being disbursed. The foreign reserves are entirely separate from that. I am not going to explain it any further for you. As a serial Thai basher you don't want to hear it. Look it up. Educate yourself.
