Hello, looking for information about ways to get to Nan city from Chiang Rai city. I understand the Green Bus does not go to Nan.

Specifics appreciated, i.e., phone numbers, websites, etc. Considering bus, van, taxi. thanks much

I am not a resident of either. Between two small, remote provincial capitals such as those, I think you would be very lucky to find any direct bus service. Start by asking at your local bus station; I am sure they will tell you the most direct route. My guess would be Lampang - Phrae - Nan; if you are lucky you might be able to omit Lampang.

If you can arrange your own transportation the roads around Nan are a lot of fun. Bikers ride all the way from Bangkok to enjoy the roads.

One half size blue bus at 9.30 am from old bus station. It fills up quickly. You can book early or the day before. Has a meal stop at Chiang Kham.
