Transportation to Amnat Charoen

Featured Replies

Could someone from Roi Et please tell me the best way to travel to Amnat Charoen for immigration purposes? Is there a bus from Roi Et that goes to Amnat Charoen? What is the best way to get there?

Thank you.

You have two options:

1. The Northern Route

Songthaew 4243 to Phonthong, then van//bus from there. Running time about 1hr. 10 min. and 2 hrs. respectively. Cost: B 40 and B140/ respectively.

After passing through Loong Nok Tha and turning right on to Hwy. 212, it is about 30 min. Look for 7-11/Cargo 71/Krung Thai Bank on your left (east side.) Get offf there; Immigration (Salaglang) is about 500 metres ahead on the opposite side.

2. The Southern Route

Bus to Yasothon, then infrequent van service from there. Running time: about 1 hr. 10 min. and 50 min. respectively. Cost: B 85 and B 70 respectively. On arrival in A.C., Immigration is about 3 km beyond the bus station. Walk out to the Highway and use Songthaew # 1 (white) for B 10.

I usually use the northern route going, then go to the A.C. bus station and return on whichever one offers the first departure. Get started as early as possible. I normally make a 7 a.m. departure from Roi-et.
