Negative electricity FT (fuel tax) from PEA

Featured Replies

Just got my PEA electric bill and the FT was -0.0323 Baht/unit for a total of -22.48 Baht for the amount of usage I had. Not sure what that is about because I see no news about this. Even the MEA site shows 0.4638 Baht/unit through December which is what my last two bills reflected. Normally I would have around 300+baht in total for FT. A fluke or do others see this? Just more out of curiosity then any complaining. biggrin.png

Same here in Samui at both the office and home.

Represents a 5% reduction in the gross rate since last November.

Presumably the lower oil prices are working their way through.

This is a secret to farangs tongue.png

Only to be found on the Thai language version of the MEA site.

Roughly translated it says that for November and December there is a deduction (minus) of 3.23 Satang per unit.

I didn't notice it and look forward to the next bill (end of month).

MJCM or apetley , Is it a secret or may I know how much you pay for your 316 & 270 units ?

last month, I paid 981,21 baht for 244 units in Sakon Nakhon province .

last month, I paid 981,21 baht for 244 units in Sakon Nakhon province .

Tariffs are equal countrywide.

Private households usually get:

"1.2 Normal tariff with consumption exceeding 150 kWh per month"

http://www.mea.or.th/profile/index.php?l=en&tid=3&mid=111&pid=109

Your bill with Ft of last month (0.4638):

p = 2.7628 * 150.0 + 3.7362 * 94.0 + 38.22 + 0.4638 * 244.0

p = 1.07 * p

Makes 981.20,

They always add one satang, no idea why. Must be hidden in the system. Hopefully not the next big scam biggrin.png

2.7628 Baht for first 150 units.

3.7362 Baht for remaining 94 units.

38.22 Baht service charge

0.4638 * 244.0 = Ft

7% tax

270 units (last month) should be 1085.14

316 units should be 1269.04

So now I have to find the problem rolleyes.gif

That is for November?

What a joke!

The English version ot the MEA site is outdated. Tariffs from 2012!!!

Tariffs in Thai version show significantly raised numbers compared to the English version blink.pngclap2.gif

And it looks like the tariffs are valid only since Nov 16, 2015, one day before the bill that @MJCM got biggrin.png
