deecypher
I posted this on a Facebook group page and thought it might be worthy to post here too... Hi all, I just wanted to convey my experience shipping a motorcycle with Thai Post. Overall, an easy process. Yesterday, I sold my V-Strom 650 and helped the buyer ship the bike from Pattaya to Prachuap Kiri Khan. After the DLT ownership transfer, we went to the post office in Bang Lamung and drove the bike up the ramp right into the receiving room. After providing the green book and passport, fee of 3800 baht, the bike was prepared for transit. Considering the travel distance of 485km, it cost 7.85 baht/km, not too shabby I'd say. Delivery was estimated for 1 week. Should be cheaper for smaller bikes. Apparently this service is available at any larger post office in Thailand
recom273
Please get the buyer to post after he receives the bike .. That's quite a heavy bike to leave with the post office. Maybe easy, but I think too valuable not to ride. Edited November 22, 2015 by recom273
