I´m spoiled, used to fly Qatar Businss, bit too expensive.

Plus First Lady prefers Direct only

I flew LH, BKK-FRA 2 months ago. I flew coach but the PE set-up did not look that much better. Aircraft was an old 747-400, no seatback IFE. Very much a LCC experience, more Ryan Air than the LH of old.

A good solution is with VN in their new b787. I flew in c-class bkk-han-fra for only 58' and it was good. Sure not the same level as Qatar but clearly better then my last flight with Thai in c-class on this route.

Don't forget you can use "SeatGuru" to look up specific flights and ascertain aircraft type and seat configuration. That would assist you in choosing which flight to book.

Landing gate in han to the lounge you will need only 5min. Only 1 priority check so easy. Lounge is the same level as royal silk domesic lounge in bkk but with beer, wine and some other stuff. Forget the food in the lounge but food on board was good.

Connection time about 2.5h.

It was pleasant for me and the crew in the 787 was the hottest i saw in many years.

Booked again for Feb with VN.

Just checked for May Bkk FRA. Surprised to see of 25 business class seats less than 10 left on most days. Prices tempting.

Like most airlines these days, they probably hold back a number of Business Class seats for lucrative last minute bookings.
