Purify dirty water?

To bad ,that is far away from us....we have a water purification bussines in the Isaan...... But true, if you want to do it really right you need to know what is in the water and what you want to get rid of..... If you just want to try something (no guarantee) go for 3 frp tanks with manual or automatic filterheads. In the 1st one zeolite, in the second carbon and in the third resin. You should get pretty clean water then. Even better?,,,install at the verry end a big ultra violet unit to kill all bacteria, virusses, fungusses, algae, parasites......

!!!!!! AVOID the LUX system. they ask 25000 baht for a system that costs no more than 12000 baht at our place...... just simple, 1 tank, manual backwash, carbon and anthracite combined in 1 tank.

We have been running the latter system very successfully for the last 10 years, including our six houses for rent. The water is clean enough to clean your teeth (we add chloride through an automatic feeder), but tell the customers that it is unsuitable as drinking water.

I think you mean chlorine. Chloride does nothing to sterilise water.

right. and even chlorine does not kill all..... temperture and PH play an important role in this proces as well. I hope you add chlorine BEFORE your filters to kill as much as possible. After that job is done you would want to have the chlorine removed again.....If you want to continue sterilisation of possible creeps that survived after your filters, you can install a 40 watt UV system. (with ground rod and earth leakage breaker please!!! Ask the right Thai people and you will find it......most of them have no idea what you are talking about is my experience)

Does household bleach have any good or bad effects on stored water, ie a 2000 liter tank that feeds the pump.

Bleach is formulated for sterilisation of toilets and nappies, and may contain components unfit for human consumption. Better to buy a product specifically designed for water purification.

There are in fact water filter shops all over Thailand. My first water filter was a Mazuma stainless steel tank with carbon I bought in 2006 at Buriram Supply Appliance Store near the Bamboo Bar in Buriram. I've recently bought more sophisticated water improvement filters and had them installed and maintained by a Buriram water pump shop. I believe most every province will have at least one water pump specialist that offers several price ranges of water purification. I've had my water tested for 1500 baht in Buriram at Rajabhat University in 2015. In my wife's village home I use a Netafim sediment filter for well water.

when I was in Africa..,,,people put their water into plastic bottles and put these bottles on top of their huts into hot sun. After 3 days the water became drink water quality

Probably all deceased now! the vast majority of plastic bottles are meant for one time use and become carcinogenic - especially in the sun when reused!

can you explain why you got rid of the mazuma system ? and also could you show your current system ?
