THAILAND -- It’s time for the beauty pageant preliminary round where the most gorgeous women in the world get to shout their country’s name as they strut their stuff.

Miss Thailand Aniporn "Nat" Chalermburanawong, the 21-year-old beauty from Lampang province, did Thais proud this morning as she representedthe country in the Miss Universe competition, taking place in Las Vegas.

Nat, a Thammasat University student, wowed the crowd with her elegant walk as all contestants glided onto the stage in their evening gowns and swimsuits. Their performance will determine who will make the top 15.

Unless you were personally ripped off badly on a trip, read this or other Thai online forums or are a long stay visitor you probably are not aware of it so maybe not such a bad choice in an International arena..........Bit like jet ski scams - if they were that well known nobody would fall for them anymore..........

There were several women from European countries that looked more Thai than her.

For me she just looks average Not a tremendous beauty You know the type I am talking about The one that walks in to the room and takes your breath away

Personally, I prefer the traditional Thai facial features.

There should be a new category, for the best plastic surgery, where the winners are only fakes!

They should have "Natural Beauty" absolutely NO cosmetic enhancements of any kind for it to be "real" otherwise it comes down to money, but then, what doesnt theses days.

Or maybe not. Model good looks don't do that much for me. I think I've been trained to think that's what people on TV look like and in some way they don't seem real to me.
