Where are the foam rollers?

Featured Replies

Yay I'll be hitting the big smoke (Bangkok!) for a couple of days in the new year....desperately need a new bumpy foam roller for post-run enjoyment-slash-torture.... Training for the Yangon half-Mara has my leg muscles feeling like they are tied in knots. Rather than schlepping around every random SuperSports in town, does anyone know if they actually carry foam rollers? Or suggest somewhere that does?

I couldn't find one anywhere, certainly non to be had in Hua Hin where I live. I brought mine back from the UK after my last trip back home

Sports store in basement of Market Village, Hua Hin has a couple in there now.

For DIY:

PVC pipe- great for hamstrings, quads, glutes and calves- Can also tape it for IT Band and back!

Another is: a frozen large water filled soda bottle

What is a 'bumpy foam roller'? Never heard that expression before.

I got a Trigger Point Grid foam roller for 2000 baht at The Lab near Sukhumvit 31.

It's pricey but a good choice if you need one right away as they had quite a few of them stocked.

The lab gym, corner of sukhumvit 31, they sell them in reception, the small orange bumpy ones.

A few should be coming in to Redondo Beach Cal. I guess or are we talking about something else ?

Yay! Off to the gym with The Rascal and Fish Brando it is. Special thanks to @Sledpull... Hubby might be a bit shocked if I pulled out a bit of blue poly pipe one night ha ha :).

For anyone else looking, I found a cheap one for about 400 baht from Sports World opposite Central Silom...with a grumpy toddler I just wasn't able to make it to Suk Soi 31 for a proper roller, but it will be on the list for my next trip!
