Where to sell a used laptop on Phuket?

Recommended Posts

I've got a new laptop and need to get rid of the old one; it's 1 year old and is working perfectly.

Any shops that could take it?

There is a Phuket Facebook group "things for sale", there is online "baht sold" site and there is ThaiVisa classifieds.

Sorry, do not know of any second hand computer "shops".

Part of post deleted as this is not a for sale section.

I think Facebook groups is the way to go if you have a good offer. Newer generation is hardly bothered with the ancient format of the ThaiVisa classifieds or Baht&Sold

Thanks... which one is the "main" Big C? The one nearby the Central Festival?

I bought it. Installed speccy and all came out correct. I did not test all 3 usb ports and the 2 3.0 ports are not working. Stupid me. dry.png

Correct Windows installed, all updated, my diag soft does not see the ports. All drivers installed.

Anyways, bought it and it's ok. Can't really complain. Lesson to be learned. coffee1.gif

quite unusual for all 3 USB ports not working. Must be a driver problem ??

I had the same problem with a new laptop. It needed a new driver for USB 3.0, driver for 2.5 did not work.

Only the 3.0 usb does not work. I downloaded the latest ones from MSI.

Yes, same as with me. What I meant to say was 'the driver for usb 2.5 was working, but only for the 2.5 ports, not for the 3.0'.

You may want to check on the website of your laptop brand. That was for me (Lenovo) the place where I found the proper driver download, even after everything else seemed to have been done as it was supposed to be done.

I know. The 3.0 driver was downloaded and nothing happened.

Sorry, missed that MSI is the brand of the laptop.

That's really strange, because USB 3 was working. One of the ports is USB 2, though.

Forgot to update. I did something I always do with my clients' pcs: Used a little bit of isopropyl alcohol, a shaved ice cream stick and glass cleaning cloth and cleaned both ports. All works fine now.gigglem.gif
