very bad cough...wont go away

Featured Replies

ive had bad cough now 6 weeks , i heard captain announce on flight touch down that if anyone had respiratory problems they should call thailand health authorities

lots spatum white colour cant bring it up, dry cough, deep down phlem, medicine does not work, lemon and honey does nothing.

what could it be. maybe time to see the doc.

Hmmmm. Your choice after six weeks is to go see a doctor... or get a dozen different replies on an internet forum as to what it could be... I know what I'd be doing...

Dont self medicate. See a doctor.

Get to the doctor. Had the same problem back home a few winters ago, thouhgt it would go away on it's own and treated it with Hall's and Nyquil til I couldn't take anymore and went to the emergency rooom; turned out to be pneumonia and ended up in the hopital.Miserable winter that was.

This is NOT medical advice as I'm NOT a doctor, but a friend and I currently in Pattaya have both had hacking, chesty coughs, runny noses and lethargy in the last week. I suspect that we both caught the same "bug" - feels like influenza.

I treated mine with Tiffy, (which sent me to sleep which was a help) and simple cough sweets (Strepsils)both available OTC from pharmacists.

5 days later, I'm up and raring to go - my mate who became ill 2 days after me is getting there.

Please note - just my experience - if you're worried or it's taking longer - see a doctor!

Get well soon.
