I will be out of there before then. It is one of the most lameass pathetic events in Thailand.

The country is about to have its worst drought in 20 years and there will infantile wastage of the precious resource.

It certainly has gotten more aggressive over the years, especially in tourist areas, where a large percentage of the worst actors are foreigners. It used to be, with Thais, a simple "por laew" would let you pass unscathed, but now, it's useless. Just plan on a few days of surrender, and try to either enjoy, or avoid it.

It can be a pain in the proverbial and in endured it once in Pattaya which was an absolute nightmare.
