if cost is a huge issue, try Jinnys Guesthouse. Lovely owners, quiet, has a pool, air con etc. Highly recommended.

Cheap is the goal, though a private room is desirable. Shared shower no problem.

Kaew Kong Mansions... opposite Christin Massage...

huge AC room 400 THB, with window, without they are 300 THB all have shower TV etc.... very friendly staff but manager a d*ckhead!! Still good though

I am also in a rush to find the cheapest accomodation in Phuket. Is there anything around or less than 300 Baht ? I plan to be there 2-4 weeks, depends on if there is any decent surfing to be had. My main concern would be security, my only valuable possesion would be my surfboard. Dorm, shared room, local homestays, etc. are all acceptable. Need to make contacts as soon as possible, plannin gon being there end of August.

300 Baht dorm beds

shared 6 and 8 bunks per room with TV/AC
