I'm thinking about spending a month in Isaan for my next LOS trip, and would like to stay somewhere not too far from the gf's parents' farm (which is about 35 km from Chaiyaphum). However, I don't want to stay in the village for fear I wont take to it too well, and would much rather stay in Korat or Khon Kaen, and just make the drive to visit her 'rents once a week or so.

I'd like to stay somewhere with a bowling alley (which Chaiyaphum town/city is apparently lacking), so that leaves the aforementioned Korat and KK as potential options. Can anyone please confirm for me whether or not either place still has a functioning bowling alley? Google comes up with some past evidence, but I could find nothing concrete as to whether these establishments are still running (or in the case of Korat ever even materialised).

There is A bowling center at the large mall in Khon Kaen.A 5 minute walk from The Pullman Hotel

Thanks very much, chaps, glad to hear that. KK is about 30 mins closer to the farm, than Korat; makes everything a bit easier.

Hello All, the 2 places that were here in Korat are gone,

The Malls is now fitness First and Krung Plazza is gone

after the remodel I'm pretty sure. Next year will have

ice-skating across the road from Big-C.

Just spoke to the gf, she said in that case sod going for a month then. Now we're just going to stay on the farm for a week, and then bugger off to Chiang Mai or somewhere close to it.

When you say "Bowling" you mean where can you grab a quick professional shag right ?

Bumping this old thread just to conform the bad news.

Was in KK (Central World) on Friday and instead of the bowling alley (which I remember) there is some noisy "fun city" (?) with another zillion kids play machines etc.

Of course endless outdated sites in the internet about the bowling alley.
