UDON THANI:-- A woman in Udon Thani has died after reportedly overdosing on skin whitening pills, reports Thaivisa News.

On Tuesday, Udon Thani Pol. Capt. Boonlert Ratanamuang, received a report a 27 year old woman had been found dead at her room located near Udon Songserm Dham.

After arriving at the scene, police and rescue workers found the body of Ms A [alias] on the floor of her room. Located close to the body were numerous ‘skin boosting’ pills along with the woman’s asthma medication.

Police say they believe the woman had overdosed on the pills.

The woman’s father reportedly told officers that she had worked in Malaysia which is where she met her Malaysian boyfriend, who lived with the woman in Udon Thani.

The pair were due to be married in the next 2 months, however, a couple of weeks ago they had an argument which resulted in the couple separating temporarily.

The father added that his daughter had been taking medication for asthma since she was a child.

After talking to the father and some other close relatives, police suspect that the cause of death was due to a combination of overdosing on the skin booster pills and her asthma medication.

Police have sent the woman’s body for autopsy to establish the official cause of death.

Same cause of death as her apparent idol, Michael Jackson?

^^^

No.

Did you get a little chuckle from your pointless comment?

She was all white before she died.

Id put money on asthma attack rather than whitening pills.

Unless the whitening pills were fake chinese ones

I would put my money on the husband to be, after the argument.

Are all Thai police forensic scientists and pathologists? Cause of death should not be announced until confirmed! Mind you, many TV forum members will have the cause before the body is discovered :-)

RIP young lady

It really is time to ban there skin whitening products. Wrong on so many levels. bah.gif

"a couple of weeks ago they had an argument which resulted in the couple separating temporarily."

maybe he told her he wouldn't marry her until she was whiter....

Well we all know the police like to spout off before they really know the full storey.....

This forum prefers the suspicious circumstances approach, candle stick, Mr Plum, library etc.

I have no idea what is in these skin whitening pills, and have an ongoing battle with my lady to be careful with these bleaching creams I keep warning her away from.

Sad end for this young woman.

Will these Thai women never learn ? - that we like 'em on the dark side a lot better..sad.png

I dont want skinny as a rake through taking herbal slimming pills

I dont want a white face and brown neck by using talcum powder (With Whitening) blasted all over it

I dont want patchy bleached skin

I dont want my wife ill or dead through taking these BS whitening pills

When will the Thai government do something about all the fake pills and creams?

I would say she died from an asthma attack.

Same cause of death as her apparent idol, Michael Jackson?

At first she went white as a sheet !!!
