noticed that the first Huawei mobile phones are appearing at our shops up here in the north - east, just a word of caution about the G8 (also known as the RIO-L02).

an original Huawei accessory named the 'smartcover' can be purchased separately.

the typical plastic flip - open thing, overpriced etc., and it comes with a strange feature: when you shut it onto your 'life' phone it generates a picture and shows the time and date for a few seconds. bummer but, this picture, some suspension bridge in the morning sunlight, can NOT be changed. (see email from Huawei below). so, if you are not a bridge friend, do not get the cover.
