ryanhull Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Hey all, My tyres on my 17`s kept going flat randomly, anyhow I decided to buy some new tyres as they seem to a bit old... I noticed yesterday my rear tyre was flat and the day before my front had gone down a bit with the new tyres. I can see the valve stems look a bit old, I would have assumed they should have been replaced when they placed the new tyres on but dont think so.. anyone know how much a set of new valve stems cost fitted and if bquick are open over songkram today? Cheers
Scouse Twoccer Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Wouldn't the easiest thing have been to give then a call and ask instead of asking here where no one will actually know?
pgrahmm Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 After my experiences with BQ servicing TWO of my vehicles I can safely say I would never ever put my life/vehicle in their hands again.... Nice appearances & quick to upsell....Dismal service & poor quality of workmanship/quality/parts/pricing/warranty....
Rayk Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 B quick is open during Songkran operating it's regular business hours. Anytime you replace a set of tires the valve stems should definitely be replaced. New valve stems will cost you approximately 20b-80b apiece, but it really depends on the type of valve stem that is required for your wheels. Personally you shouldn't have to pay for them as they should have been replaced during the installation of your new tires. Word of advice. Never assume anything when dealing with any business in Thailand. Always double check their work. Let me know the outcome.
Rayk Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Wouldn't the easiest thing have been to give then a call and ask instead of asking here where no one will actually know? Have you ever tried to phone a Thai company and talk with a staff member who can't speak a word of English? DELETED

Have you ever tried to phone a Thai company and talk with a staff member who can't speak a word of English? DELETED Yes, and in general it works quite well.
ryanhull Posted April 19, 2016 Author Posted April 19, 2016 Wouldn't the easiest thing have been to give then a call and ask instead of asking here where no one will actually know? Attempted that mate but no one answered, they was however open and stems including fitting was 400 bhat, my tyres have not gone down once, I am suprised when they replaced my tyres they did not replace these stems given they are so cheap and could have caused me an accident if I did not notice the tyre going down. Cheers all

Cheers all Whilst the price seems reasonable, I would have been arguing for a freebie as they didn't replace them when you did the tyres (yes, it's normal practice).
