Skype problem

Featured Replies

I use an Acer laptop. I have been using Skype to keep in touch with Thai relativeseither the for approx 4 years with no problems. 2 days ago the Skype started to refuse to connec. I can select a contact (which the highlights) but the call button (neither video nor telephone) highlight as it used to and clicking on it has no effect. Similarly, I can select a telephone number vwith the keaypad but cannot initiate the call. In coming calls are working as before.

I have tried uninstallang and reinatalling the latest version of Skyke with no effect.

Can any computer expert advise me?

I stopped when I read ACER. ( Joking, these are the best machines for Thais only. Time to buy a real notebook. Maybe a DELL?

Please go to help and check if there's an update. If there's an update, take it. Should it not work then, please see under the help section " Go to Support".

That should do the trick. Best of luck.

I have a similar machine and no issues, I suggest it may be your internet connection speed that is causing the issue.

Try uninstalling Skype and reinstalling again with the most updated version.

Third line of the OP -

I have tried uninstallang and reinatalling the latest version of Skyke with no effect.

Op. Have you tried it on a different Internet connection? I had a problem with a different VoIP software, no audio. I reset my modem and it started working again.. Just a thought!
