Keyboard switch to Thai

Featured Replies

It is the second time it happens without any apparent reason. I have a wireless logitech keyboard that suddenly switch to thai, which means whatever I type on the keyboard, thai characters appear on the screen. Only restarting solves the problem. Any idea what's going on ?

What operating system?

Do you have a hotkey set up to switch between languages which you might accidentally be hitting?

Windows 7

Possible, that was my first thought, but can't identified any

If on Windows have you tried holding down the Windows key and the hitting the space bar to switch it back.

Oxx was quicker.

The keyboard is just a "dumb" array of lines and columns and some keys that connect them.

(plus some hardwired electronics telling the computer)

What comes out is all in the computer/OS.

In my Windows setup e.g. the key combinations <ALT>+<SHIFT> will change the layout.

If I hit it accidentally then instead of qwerty this comes out ๆไำพะั (meaningless Thai script).

If you don't want any change in the keyboard layout then remove all except your desired layout.

(Instead of "Add", click on the unwanted layout and then click on "Remove")

"Advanced Key Settings" will show the key combination that switches the layout.

Exactly it is <Left Alt> + <Shift>.
