How about a "most dangerous car" thread, mine was a Citroen Dyane, lovely drive but bodywork like a coke can.

In that case, my Ford Pinto would fit right in that topic. biggrin.png

attachicon.gifSteves XKR 2007 DSCN2014.jpg

Jaguar XKR convertible. Sold a couple of years ago with only 60k km on the clock, having owned it from new for 10 years. Goes like $hit off a hot shovel !!

Would like to say it was a babe trap. It had its moments, but it mostly attracted the attention of pre-pubescent youths and old men.

There is a successor here in Thailand...

1988 Chevy Sprint 2 door hatchback, just sold it a year ago for $500.

Got 45 MPG tooling around Las Vegas, up to 55 MPG on road trips.

It had no AC though so in the summers I only took it out after dark.

Ha ha, it only had a 1 liter engine with 3 cylinders, and a 5 speed tranny.

Still have my 2003 Passat Wagon GLS TDI, not quite as good on the MPG.

The last car(s) I had would be the ones I still own in USA:

2013 Ford F-150 4x4 crew cab (my daily driver when I am in USA)
2004 Chevy Silverado 4x4 Z71 (my son has this one at University)

1992 Jeep Wrangler (this usually gets a bit of exercise when I visit USA)

1980 Chevy Camaro Z28 (I drove this a few weeks ago for the first time in 16 years...unfortunately it was only from one storage unit to another)

This was the next but next to last ... it was quite thirsty

This was the next to last. Mrs Jas by this time had passed her UK Driving test, but fortune smiled on me and Mr Insurance Company declined to allow her to drive it ... phew

So sold it and bought a C220CDI which Mr Insurance company was happy to let her loose in ... don't have a pic of that, bit of a boring car but it wasn't at all thirsty.

My last US car was a 5.0 liter Ford Mustang. Never a glitch. The only time it was back at the dealers was for regular service. It was pretty fast too.

Mine was a Bronco. almost identical to this.

are your initials O.J.?

O.J.'s Bronco was all white, and rather plain-Jane.

This one is optioned a bit more nicely.

Thanks transam but the proceeds went to my early retirement in Thailand. Bought a house, car, cycle and had enough left over for 4 years of expenses till my pensions kicked in. I do miss them but there are no cars shows in Thailand like there were is SoCal. Went to at least one car show every weekend.
