Road Safety campaign - Never Drink and Drive

Featured Replies

This advert should of been shown in cinemas and on TV every night a few weeks before Songkran. I have never seen it before, have you?

If it would have saved 1 life, that would have been 1 life less, that was tragically taken from a family.

Hope this really is a 'powerful mass media campaign' and not forgotten by next week.

Those the OP hopes would have seen this before Songkran, but did not.

Maybe this one below would have more impact on the Thai population.

Oh sorry I understand now.

People are too set in their ways. They don't believe anything like that will ever happen to them. They don't seem to understand that a person will only have a fatal accident once.

True, but they get to do it again in the next life. Weeeee!

Might have been more effective had fancy pants hi-so boy been shown being lead off in handcuffs and then eating maggoty rice in the Bangkok Hilton, while fighting to keep his trouser s from being ripped off.

The advert does not show him drinking anything nor does it show the aftermath of his family paying off the family of the nurse to avoid the excellent post above; describing the maggoty rice and inevitable trouser tugging and forced acts that would ensue.

Broken, stabbed and falling bodies are shown on the news often- maybe a stronger message is warranted?

Apologies, I just noticed my previous post did not make any sense when written but it made sense in my head.whistling.gif

Best advert ever, even better than the M-150 adverts.

Doesn't mean a thing ..

The generals Friday broadcast was lead by the success story that people were wearing traditional costume during songkran and taking part in traditional activities .. Dancing and digging sand.

Followed by praise of the police doing all they could go stop road fatalities ..now a pointless tv advert that no ones seen

Good advert but there still isn't any deterrent for those people who do drink and drive so it is pretty much wasted

I think anything they do with this problem is good, but they don't really believe in it after making and showing the video. The problem just continues because reducing this problem is Comprehensive and 24/7 enforce not just in Bangkok but throughout ever inch of Thailand. Until they decide that everything is temporary as the results have shown!

Is this the only driving type ad you people have ever seen in Thailand??
