I like both bikes, but the Stallions Centaur with its low revving 150cc is a bit underpowered, the GPX Legend is equipped with a 200cc engine that gives that little bit more push that makes the ride more enjoyable. With both motorcycles you should not have any fantasies about performance or setting personal speed records….

But speed or performance is probably not the reason to buy a retro style motorcycle in the first place…

Just for information there is also the Zongshen Ryuka Infinity which is a 125cc retro motorcycle with similar design as the GPX Legend and Stallions Centaur...

I was at a dealer selling "everything" a few weeks ago and there was a 150 Stallion? with (what appeared to be) a bigger frame, higher seat, it was parked next to the 200 Legend and the seat was higher....it was definitely a 150, it said so. Sat on it and not a bad fit, I am 183.

There seems to be a lot of variants out, maybe another model I have lost track. These things are everywhere in KK, they have a great soundtrack.

Does he favour a bike or scooter?...or is this a surprise present.

Trouble with Vespas there is a snob value here, accessories are ridiculous price wise and if you want authenticity you are stuck with the bills.  A rear luggage rack was 6 times the price of a Yammy one, virtually identical. We actually got it thrown in for free when we paid 50k for the Filano...I know not as cool as a Vespa.

Both motorbikes are good competition for each other. Stallion scrambler 400 and Stallion V Twin 250i Buccaneer are very good quality motorbikes, rest of the line up is not. The gpx have better quality in comparison across all their motorbikes.
