oldgit
Slight improvement on The Chosen One I suppose. And a reference to The Smiths, a mancunian band think johnny marr is a big city fan isn't he? pretty sure morrissey isn't much of a football fan mind. oh and anyone who doesn't like the smiths has no taste. If you think Poor Johnny One Note is music, your taste is seriously flawed.
carmine
Bit off topic but i think the Smiths were a dreadful band blurting out monotonous crap and Morrissey is one of the (and continues to be) one of the biggest bell ends to grace a stage with a droning voice that could well have been used more effectively than water boarding. Johnny Marr can play i'll grant you. now back to the chavs.....another fine for the Special Needs One i see.......ten grabs going to really hurt his bank balance isn't it!! P45Mustang
We welcome mourinho back with open arms and then all of a sudden....... All depends how you define success and failure. Small margins these days. City will just about nick the EPL. Chelsea, only EPL team to reach SF of Euro competition. Nobody's perfect. Up to you. uptheos
oh and anyone who doesn't like the smiths has no taste. Abso-bladdy-lutely. And the 80's music scene beat the 60's hands down. Love the Smiths, but better than the Zombies, the Kinks, The Beatles and the Stones ??!! And lets not forget Dusty Springfield ! She and Morrisey had a few things in common and she could probably drink all the Smiths under the table.Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders !! Although a bit early for me, there were some good bands around in the 60's, there is no denying that and some have stood the test of time. However, overall I just think the music of the 80's was much better. Interestingly, most were influenced by bands such as the Beatles but I think they improved on the influence. Lets just hope we are singing that classic Blue Moon on sunday. Strange choice of lyrics written in 1934. Here's part of what Wiki says about the lyrics. The narrator of the song is relating a stroke of luck so unlikely that it must have taken place under a blue moon. Who could have foreseen Abu Dhabi

P45Mustang
Looks like he rates Gerrard too. "If Liverpool are champions, I would go Steven Gerrard. Very good season, in a position where he is important for a team, where he changes his profile as a player, where he is not scoring so many goals as before because now he doesn't arrive in the box so much. "He stays more in midfield, with a tremendous cold blood as a penalty-taker, which he had lots of them, but in every penalty he was there for the team, too, and some of them were crucial. I would go for Steven Gerrard." But I can't see him putting a bid in tbh. Edited May 11, 2014 by P45Mustang

If he's looking for a striker and rates Dzeko so highly, then I'm sure he could get him at a reasonable price. From what I've heard and read, City fans have a love-hate relationship with him, so maybe he'd be available. I think he's better than the current Chelsea centre forwards. P45Mustang
Don't think his endorsement of Dzeko makes him a mourinho target. He endorsed Gerrard also. Definitely not a mourinho target. He took a big swipe at Suarez mind. Maybe he hasn't forgiven him for blting Ivan. Anyway, it's all newspaper stuff. My guess he'll go for powerful intimidating striker. Yes i've never been a fan of Cashly but totally agree, very impressed with the way he dealt with the news. Unfortunately he's lost his pace and with it much of his attacking threat but for years he was one of England's only truly world class players.
