Been and gone. You will start having trouble getting mobiles if you are not using the correct number now (including the 8). The changeover period was 1 September to 1 November, or maybe 1 December. :o

The 8 has been working locally on my phone for more than a month (AIS). Internationally though, it still doesn't work with the 8 in there... (calling in from international location). Works without the 8 though :o

Dunno. I'll do what I always do in LOS, wait and see. No good phoning the 'customer service' I'm sure.

I am having problems also when dialling mobiles using the 8 from my landline here in Thailand, It is very confusing at the moment what to dial etc.

Part of the problem, from what I have been told, is the "after market" equipment being used by some of the telcos for the upgrade. It may not pass QC by the original equipment supplier. :o

I had the interesting effect that some numbers from 1 Thai telco when they sent me an SMS it appeared to have come from India :D , this has since been rectified.

That topic is closed, so I couldn't ask the question I wanted.

Is there a way to update the phone numbers on mobile's memories without doing it 1 by 1? A friend with a Nokia said he could use a *xxx# number combination to do it, but it didn't work for my phone (Samsung).
