If you do stay there and venture looking some good food and entertainment there is a great little restaurant/bar 100yrds further up the same Road/Lane . It has a karaoke on most nights and a lot of the locals go there ... great wee spot and only a 5 minute walk from the resort

Thanks.

I've been informed the name of the place is เพ็ญศิริ ..... Pensiri

Thanks again I plan on returning to Sisiket Kutwa and Yasothon next year though I may add two additional towns to the trip maybe roi et and one other - Some firework festivals are at end of april and some at start of june............Though Im not sure exactly where one can get a comprehensive list

Most dates for individual towns are estimates .. best to check from time to time for changes .

Probably a better bet to ask organisers for a timetable while at one of the events as they can go on for around a month every other day from town to town .

Good advice about great events - local knowledge is invaluable

Ah Yes ,every year they seem to try to out do the previous year in violence and mayhem in Sisaket.,and you are right about the Lhao Kao but with yaba being added. The bet this year is how many will be stabbed as compared to gun shot.

Simply untrue nonsense - I was there last year and no violence just music - dancing - beautiful costumes-great music.... and Rockets. It's a brilliant cultural display.
