Hi all,

Anybody had any good experiences ordering a birthday cake in Bangkok? Or is it best to visit a cake shop in a mall which allows for personalised cakes?

Our normal birthday cake for grandchildren is ice cream type - dry ice adds to birthday feeling.

"Secret Recipe" has real Western Quality cakes and pies.

Their website doesn't work and last time i saw their shop (in central chaengwattana) it was closed and empty. They had many branches though.

The pies at most bakery's taste like cheap fake cream. Also i wonder if they can deliver a pie with a motobike in BKK but you never know with the Thai.

I always recommend GoTasty, they do delivery and you can print a funny photo on the cake.

I second Swensen's, reputable company and not overly expensive. Plus they are used to do such kind of thing
