Who can recommend good head phones ..from Lazada?

Featured Replies

Do you prefer in,on,or over-the-ear phones?

Are you going to be listening through the jack on a decent home theatre system or the jack on a basic laptop? I guess it's somewhere in between, but there's not much point in paying

money for quality headphones if you are using a mediocre sound source.

I think your best bet is to head over (sorry) to the head-fi or headfonia sites and see if any reviews which take your fancy are available on Lazarda.

On a specific note, I bought Fiio Ex-1 in-ear headphones from Lazarda last year to use with my D.A.P. They were around 3000 baht and have been tough and tuneful.

Worth every satang.

very comprehensive reply. I had hoped your Fiio would spare me further headache, of having to choose. It's no more on offer. It should be over the it should be over the ear. Not completely noise cancelling. One should be still able to talk to me without shouting aloud. Yes it is a laptop.

there are too many choices out there, its best to start with a budget and go from there... anything good and decent can start from around 1500 baht and up, whats your budget?

10.000 baht,

The convenience for phone calls is nice but goes probably at the expense of sound. Seem to be manly gaming headphones stressing bumbum sound.

With a 10.000 baht budget you also have another option - getting a separate amp/DAC to improve what's coming from your laptop.

As a starting point, I would check out the generally positive buyer reviews on Amazon and elsewhere for these:

Fiio Q1 Amp/DAC

Sennheiser HD429 over the ear headphones.

Both currently available for 2590 baht each C.O.D. from Lazada.

If, as your username suggests, you are in Phuket then the nice people at WE hifi in Phuket Town might let you try out the award winning AKG Y50 headphones at 4490 baht.

Shame you want Lazada only. They have some good stuff but there are amazing things available from China on Aliexpress. Also if you're near BKK I'd recommend checking out Soundproofbros - they have a very nice inventory.

These are very highly praised, though I don't have them myself. I'm more of an iem kinda person:

With a 10,000 baht budget, you can some very good mid to high end headphones.

The one crabdog listed is a good choice, also look at the AKG line. I'm more of an IEM person, so can't help much on the headphones as well.

Tks friends for your input. I went for this one= Sennheiser HD 598SE

although not from Lazar. An Audiophile made me change my mind

Most, if not all the headsets that i have looked at on Lazada are 'Imported from Abroad' so as long as you are not too worried about a longer lead time, you should be able to pickup a decent set for under 5,000 baht (anything over that would be overkill for a laptop IMO).

You might also want to think about the connection, 3.5 adapter or USB. Even bluetooth if you are going to be wandering around..................wink.png

I got my Sennheiser HD 598SE and tested them with Beethoven Violin Concerto, Arabella Steinbacher

what a difference to my off the rack 2000baht GG headphones

I am sitting in Carnegie Hall

My thanks to the Audiophil who recommended the Sennheier

My phone does 24k/192 and it makes a real difference using a nice set of headphones. I think a decent pre-amp should improve things even more.
