Chang Mai is more expensive than Pattaya
Look at the price of beer, no happy hours in bars worth visiting and food is about the same price . Accommodation anywhere near a favorable location near downtown is about the same.

Except Chang Mai is as boring as bat shit.. Pattaya leaves it in the dust
