i-mobile IQ 9.1 replacement?

Featured Replies

I bought an IQ 9.1 about three years ago. I've been very happy with it. I must have dropped it onto hard surfaces 20 times in the last three years. The only ill effect was a broken case part which i-mobile replaced for 22 baht.

However the 2 gig of ram is not enough for all the apps I want and I imagine it's time to replace it anyway.

So what is the equivalent but better i-mobile phone to the IQ-9.1? I'm going to stick with i-mobile because of this good experience.

Do they sell any phones with android marshmallow which I understand finally allows shared use between the ram and and sd card?

What has happened to iMobile?

I was happy with my iMobile but wanted to take it for repair. In the past, they had a very nice shop and service centre in MBK (Bangkok). Service was completed within 3 hours.

This time the shop is gone and the 'service department' reduced to 3 boys (no English) sitting at a small desk by the lifts on the 4th floor armed, seemingly, only with a multimeter.

Oh, that's too bad. The two times I had to go to that shop I was very pleased with the service and price.

Asus zenfone max newer model has 3GB ram (older one had 2gb ram)

and there is a Zenfone 2 with 4gb ram.

I would have said to go with the Samsung J7 (version2), but it only has 2gb ram.

Thanks. Maybe I will buy the Zenphone Max.

Apart from the fact that the IQ 9.1 has only 1 GB RAM, it was a decent phone for the price (4950 Baht), especially with the Wiko Darkside firmware.

It still works ok'ish, but a bit laggy, compared with modern phones.

However, I'm also looking for a replacement with at least 5.8-6.0" Screen.

Since it's for my wife, it doesn't need to be "high end", but shouldn't be a "Mediatek chipset" phone!

Price shouldn't exceed 6000 Baht.
