2nd Hand Notebook Computer

Featured Replies

I've been looking for a 2ndhand laptop for a while here and I've been looking at the usual places:

bahtsold, phuketgazette classifieds, and posting in some forums...

I did see a new compaq at Tesco or Big C recently for 19,000 baht... and that's where I'll go if I can't get one cheaper.

I live in Surat. Is there anywhere closer than BKK I could go to find a 2nd hand laptop?

And, if I need to go to BKK I'll go... but where to go? Anyone know a reputable place? Is Pantip plaza the only place to go? Anyone know any farangs that own a computer store...?

I'm comfortable buying without warranty - I can fix laptops and install operating system, etc.

I'd just like to find a 2ndhand IBM, compaq, Toshiba, hp, or other...

Hoping to spend closer to 12-15000b.

thanks for any help...

Can't help in Surat :o

If you come to BKK, try Pantip (last resort), Fortune Town (outside Pha Ram 9 MRT) or Zeer Rangsit, further out past the old airport in Rangsit (under the Asia Airport Hotel). All have outlets selling used hardware at fair prices.

I've had good results with Pratum Computer (branches in both Zeer and Fortune).

I suggest you read these comments before you buy.

Then you could PM the guy and find out what price his girlfreind will sell the notebook for.
