HUA HIN: -- Hua Hin authorities have dissolved the centre set up recently to solute disorderly situation after a spate of arson and bomb attacks.

Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan Mr Thawee Narissirikul said the forward operation centre set up during the August 11-12 attacks was closed after the situation has returned normal in Hua Hin.

But he said although the operation centre was closed authorities who were assigned to the centre would continue to
work and take care of peace and order in the town.

They would check to make sure that all CCTVs function properly and installation of more CCTVs around the town would be completed.

This would ensure safety and bring back confidence in Hua Hin by tourists, he said.

A district level security working panel has been formed to keep watch and monitor the situation, he said.

Meanwhile Hua Hin district chief officer Suthipong Klai-udom said Soi Bintanlbard, the first target in the bomb attacks, would be declared a walking street for tourists.

It will be opened officially on August 26, to attract tourists back to Hua Hin, he added.
