Custom / Modified Motorcycle Law

If any knows where I can find info on motorcycle law I would appreciate it. I am looking to purchase a custom or modifiy an existing motorcycle. I heard that I can be fined 1000 baht anytime for riding such a bike. But then I read that if you change or modify something like the paint color, I can apply for a permit of some sort that will make the modification legal? Also, do I need to get a drivers license, I have a motorcycle drivers license from America? Thanks, Rainmon...

Your location says Jomtien. Go down to Hot Rod Pattaya or East Coast Choppers and ask them. Lots of modified bikes in Patters.

Yes, I met the head mechanic from East Coast Choppers, very informative guy and showed me and my buddie around the shop. The bikes there are way out of my price range, but maybe they would be helpfull regarding details likes this, thanks for the input...
