September 25, 20169 yr I recently refilled the ink on my epson printer. However, when I print a colour page it is still not working. How can I fix this. All the levels are full of ink thanks
September 25, 20169 yr Sounds like the pipes are blocked this happens a lot with that type only was I have heard of a fix is to take it to a printer shop and they will flush the color tubes out or replace them. Unless you do a lot of printing I would buy a normal type printer using disposable cartridges or indeed cartridges you can get refilled or refill yourself.
September 25, 20169 yr Did you let it go empty ? Printers with refillable cartridges sometimes you need to take out the print head in the printer and clean and check if the ink is flowing onto say a tissue because when not used they can dry out causing blockage. I use to take mine to a computer workshop, l was always told to use it everyday which l did but not all day and it would still block up. Don't need to print much now so l use other peoples printers.
September 25, 20169 yr Please check if the thingy has a clean head option. That might do the trick. Look for a menu. Then Ink management and cleaning, chose all colors and do it a few times. Then try some scans and it might get back to life.
September 25, 20169 yr You might have air-locked the system. If you can, release the vent caps to the ink containers.
September 25, 20169 yr All the colours not printing? are you getting an error/warning message in the app? have you made sure the locking mechanism on the ink tank is open?
September 25, 20169 yr Go to Control Panel click on 'Devices and Printers' click on ' EPSON L555' click on 'Printer' (top left of page) click on 'Printing Preferences' click on 'Maintenance' tab click on 'Nozzle Check' and following instructions to print a small test print if nothing or blotchy then click on 'Head Cleaning' which you can repeat a couple of times. If still not printing then click on 'Power Ink Flushing' this uses a lot of ink and should work. If not after a couple of times then it needs stripping and cleaning at a shop.
