Yellow Tabien Baan/pink ID card

Featured Replies

There's plenty of discussion on this and the pink ID card on TV but I can't find anything specific to Phuket.

Anyone been through the process for either or both of these here recently? I say recently because, as we all know, the rules and requirements change frequently! And of course every different office has its own regulations as well.

If so, what's needed? Some offices require you to be married or own a condo in your own name, some allow it on a tourist visa, others want to know everything about you and require embassy certified translations of birth certificate, passport etc. So what about the little farang haven known as Phuket?

When i'm home i'm planning to get (if possible) the Yellow book and after that the pink ID card from Amphur Kathu.

I will report back how it went.
