Two Dead In Road Accident

Featured Replies

Two dead in high speed crash on the Tepprasit Road.

A terrible road accident now from the Tepprasit Road in Jomtien which claimed two lives. This motorbike versus car collision took place in the early hours of Monday Morning and was investigated by Police Major Saetar from the Dongtan Police Sub-station.

The driver of the car, a Bronze Chevrolet, Khun Witchai aged 42, remained at the scene but appeared unemotional as the bodies of the two victims were removed from the scene. Khun Chanalong, who worked at the Siam Bayshore Hotel, was the driver of the bike and the female who could not be identified was also working at the Hotel, was also killed during this high speed collision.

Police decided that based on witness accounts and evidence at the scene, the car was at fault and the driver was suspected of being over the legal alcohol limit. He was placed under arrest and will be charged with drunk driving and reckless driving causing death.

My sympathies to the family and friends of the deceased.

Yes, this is a terrible story - I expect the young couple who both worked at the Siam Bayshore hotel were dating or at the very least were good friends.

And by all accounts - senseless victims of another motorist's drink-driving.

A really tragic end to two young persons' lives.

Who says life's fair?
