Phu Kradueng National Park opens to tourists now

The Nation

The Phu Kradueng National Park opened its camping site for tourists to stay overnight for the first time this year on Saturday, the park chief said.

Thitasak Suriyachaiwattana, the chief of Phu Kraduen park, said the park decided to allow tourists to set up camps on the popular mountaintop in Loei now because the cold weather had arrived and there was mist in the morning.

Yes, the attraction is the central feature being a limestone mountain with a plateau top. You park at the visitor centre at the foot and hike up a track to the summit where you can camp overnight and watch the early morning fog .

Porters are available for hire to help lug you gear. Need warm clothes late in the year.

I have no idea what the foreigner entry fee is now

The last supervised hike to the summit is around 1600 hours, after that no entry.
