Bluport Hua Hin

HUA HIN: -- HUA HIN’S first resort mall, Bluport, opened on Saturday at a cost of more than Bt5 billion with the aim of making the beach town a complete tourism destination for local and foreign tourists, featuring leisure and relaxation, shopping and lifestyle attractions.

"With the new resort mall, we aim to promote Hua Hin as the Riviera of the East," said Supaluck Umpujh, vice chairwoman of The Mall Group.

The 200,000-square-metre property is operated by Hua Hin Asset Co, a joint venture of The Mall Group and the Liptapanlop family's Proud Real Estate, which projects 20,000 visitors a day on weekdays.

I went to Bluport and bought Blue Ray, then came back home and sat on my blue couch in my blue room.

Now I am feeling sad; I mean feeling blue :(

What allowances did they make for the increase in traffic something of this scale would cause? Off street taxi/songtaew parking? Shuttle buses? An new overpass bridge instead of existing u-turns? Or?

Try listening to Blue Moon  :whistling:

A total traffic disaster....  Now low season and took 20 minutes to pass this crap mall on main road on Monday!!!!  In high season it will make BKK traffic look like a race way compared to downtown HH. Who in their right mind would have allowed this to be built? Oh yes, stupid question....

Riviera is over used in Thailand.

In Pattaya there is the Riviera Resort Pattaya, The Riviera Wangamat, The Riviera Jomtien. But unlike the French Riviera, neither Pattaya or Hua Hin will have a casino.

Nor do they have Albert, Charlene and the twins, not to forget Caroline and Steff.  The Cote d'Azur (Riviera is English) is absolutely stunningly  beautiful.  Hua Hin and Pattaya are nothing in comparison.

Absolutely none. It's a nightmare.

Riviera of the East????.....It's just a shopping mall.!

And as usual, traffic management and parking are way down the list of the town planners criteria.......
