Lost green book, what to do?

I've acquired a bike that has a book but it went missing in a move.

 

Has anyone gone thru the procedure to get another one?

 

Any and all info would be of great use thanks

I would suggest report the loss to the police, get their report and go to the issuing DLA for them to issue a replacement.

I mentioned not time frame! For example, it took me 2 months to wait for a replacement number plate.
