Tried all 7/11 outlets, televiz shops and even their own AIS Outlets...no top up cards or slips!!!! And their staff cannot even comment or say why? Whats going on...do I need to transfer my numbers to DTAC or TRUE?

I can still top up at the 7/11 here in the north of Thailand. Have you tried going to the ma & pa stores? They usually either have the scratch card or a machine/or a phone they use for you to top up.

(Only) third thread about this stunning cancellation of 7/11 service.

What Going On WIth AIS? -> What's Going On Between AIS and 7/11?

AIS folding up :cheesy:

Do you have a Thai ATM bank card? Visit your banks ATM. To name just one way.

See here for some of the x other ways to top-up.

Recently, no cash register slips but managed to find scratch cards. Asked what's up. No answer. What's up? This is bizarre.

As mentioned in the other threads.

So many other places and methods.

I regularly used top-up via internet banking, no fee.

Sometimes using the orange colored machines to extend validity (10 Baht top-up plus 2 Baht fee).

Yesterday tested the ATM method, works fine, no fee.

The world is not coming to the end yet.

Good old scratch cards.

There was a time when the daughter bought a bundle of those worth 1000 Bath for 950 and sold them in her shop piece by piece (20 * 50 Baht = 1000).

Big business

News Flash just read AIS are going into liquidation as from 0000hrs tm morning.

They have sited misuse and lack of liquid funds. There will be no rebates?

Are you trolling or can you provide a source?

One of the AIS subsidiaries is in the process of liquidation:

Service provider of voice /data communication via telephone line. Currently under the process of liquidation

Nothing posted on their website re the main company being in trouble as far as I have seen

It's complete nonsense.

The ? emoticon is a bit "ambiguous".

Nonsense. I just topped up using a slip I purchased from Family Mart.

That's good news. Maybe they're back online.

711 Are owned by the same family that owns True.

Family mart seemed to work anyway without interruption.

AIS was not "offline" anytime of course.

I meant the vendors. In my experience, I was getting "no haves" at both 7-11 and Family Mart for awhile but obviously I didn't sample every 7-11 and Family Mart in the nation at all hours. That's why we share info here.

Yep, the richest in Thailand.

And that it is what I suspect: a battle of heavy weights about commissions or so.

Received a notification earlier today from AIS telling me the various locations I could top up at. Lotus, Family Mart, Big C etc. 7-11 was not on the list.

Top up cards are a waste of time and energy( Yours ). Get a phone plan for less then 500 baht per month.

I don't understand why people risk not being able to use a phone in emergency, because their phone is out of money !

I ve just recently  been getting  texts from AIS telling me that top ups are available all around me,Big c,Lotus,108 shops, max valu,SE ED books,B2S, THAI POST OFFICE,.I never had them before,so i dont know why now.And some one posts that there are no top ups.Strange!

Why waste 450 baht a month.50 baht is all i need per month. If somebody wants me,they have my number. Not hard to check account total, and when they sms back makes me feel wanted.

The AIS kiosks along the MRT Line probably still work ok.  For some reason I think AIS is no longer using 7-11 to sell more minutes.  It's probably due to some immature  reason.  I will probably just change to another provider.

The contract between 7/11 and AIS is no more.  All other outlets, including the self service machines, are running normally.

Why change the provider? I have a better signal from AIS here and it's the only one i can get at my second home in the far south. Maybe better to rethink about shopping in 7/11 stores, as it looks like CP tries to use its market powers to manipulate consumers.

Some of the users only come to Thailand for a month or so at a time.  I switch out the SIM I use in the U.S. and put in my Thailand SIM.

But I don't use AIS, so it has not been a problem for me.

Just to confirm been around the country this week from south to bangkok to upper isaan no 7/11 will refill your ais number right now

It's stunning, everything you post is nonsense.

However do you maintain consistency?

No problem buying AIS credit at Tops supermarket yesterday.
