mahasarakhan imigration update

I paid a visit to the Mahasarakhan office on 31st October. I updated my 90 day report and also filled out the form 28 to inform them of my stay in the area. For that form you need a copy of the house book ( or Chanote ) plus copies of  the owners I D card and  your passport.

They also informed  me that I could renew my one year extension if I was still in the area when it became due. This is great news for me as my Thai lady is currently very ill and spending a lot of time in hospital so I am spending a lot of time in the area. I am currently registered at Pattaya which is a tedious trek from here.

It was a very easy and pleasant experience as opposed to the hustle ad bustle of Chonburi  immigration. the staff where very pleasant and helpful.

I feel sure that they can now handle all kinds of visa's etc.

Hope this is helpful.

Cheers

So now every province surrounding Kalasin has an Immigration office, but not Kalasin. Some of these offices are less than a half hour from parts of Kalasin, yet Kalasin residents have to drive anywhere from an hour to two plus hours to Sakon Nakon, I hope it changes before my next extension in July.

As you can do your 90 day report at any office, why don't you make you next report at Maha Sarakhan and  ask if you can extend your visa there? may be worth the trip and you can treat yourself to a  Mc Donald burger whilst in the area.

You cannot do a 90 day report at any immigration office. Since early last year you can only do them at the office where you got your extension unless you formally change your address to the office where you do the report.

Yes am sure. What it says in number one does not mean you can do a report at any office you want to.
