Plain as the light of day; this poor man was so depressed by losing at cards that he beat himself to death long before the police could arrive to rescue him. This sort of dangerous, drunken behaviour is why gambling is frowned upon. How could anyone doubt the police did their best to save him? Can the coepse be

The Royal Thai Police is the most citizen caring law enforcer in this planet. There is no way the death is caused by them!

You can drop the "Royal".

In Thai it is "National Thai Police", some upstart decided to add "Royal" to the English version about twenty years ago.

I am not sure the Thais would accept the gang of thugs associating themselves with "Royal".

Don't think there will be an complete autopsy or any autopsy at all.

" The dead man's father Khamna Daengjantip and relatives are more sure of how Don met his death, however. As Khamna arrived at the hospital to take his son's corpse for a funeral in Mae Sot in the north west, he vowed that the family intend to take action against the police. "

developing news:

Police chief says that the dead man wasn't even at the raid, but was brought there by ill-intentioned people from somewhere else.  It has also come to light that the corpse in the meantime has disappeared from police custody, leaving everybody baffled. Police will check cctv in the area to find out  where the zombie went and advise people not to panic.

Another Thai "he didn't die from the beating ,he died because he stopped living "

Latest Thai report, a family member got a CCTV copy that showed 7 persons kicking the person on the ground wearing handcuffs

Well since the Police Chef said so, then for sure nobody from the police could have been involved.

Now time to move on to other suspects. Maybe a Burmese guy can be found on a CCTV camera somewhere.

This may not go far, as is usual, cover up and deny, what is encouraging is that more and more, we see thais challenging the police version, as time goes by we can only hope that a wave of reform will take place, hopefully lead by a high ranking authority.

Whatever happened in that high profile case down south where a man apparently committed suicide in custody, but the doctor said his kidney/liver had burst from a severe blow? I haven't heard any news in recent weeks.

Poor circulation owing to faulty socks, led to heart failure.

The police weren't beating him, they were trying to resuscitate him by pounding him about the face and chest.

An autopsy cannot be performed as he chose the expedited cremation option.

I'd like to make some smart comment or sarcastic remark about this. No, not about the poor guy's death, but about the cover up.

Anyone ever wonder what the top cops & army brass chat about over drinks ? Do they sincerely believe all the crap that they spew ? Or by some warped sense of "??????" do they really believe what they offer in such instances is the honest truth ?

As me dear ol dad once told me ... there's only one person in this world you have to be true to, the guy you are looking at when you are shaving.

Just wondering.

Sanit said that he had set up a committee to get to the truth of the matter but it was his opinion that the injuries of the dead man were superficial and did not result in his death. If it can be shown that he died from heart failure then police would be in the clear, he said.

News flash... news just in from the coroner's office, autopsy proves heart failure... BiB nothing to worry about here!

Rest assured, the Thugs in Brown are on the case.

Hmm, on second thoughts.

Don't ask questions like that, the Thugs in Brown are definitely on the case.
