Hi, I will be arriving in Khon Kaen early December and will be staying for 4 months.

I was there for 2 months a year ago and for some of that time stayed in Khon Kaen so I am not a total newbee but it was my first time visiting Khon Kaen and everything was new to me. I met a lady at that time named Ploy and have stayed in touch using LINE messenger so this time I will be staying 4 months. 

It was inconvenient to return to Khon Kaen before now mainly because I needed an Inguinal hernia operation, nothing serious but it needed to be done.

I’m writing this to hopefully make a few contacts / friends and for advice /suggestions on where to go and what to do in Khon Kaen.

 

I am living in the UK, 63 years old, good health, play tennis and golf, although golf is now coming to an end for me due to the cold here.  I don’t drink that much alcohol. A year ago I played a few games of golf in Khon Kaen and so this time I will be bringing a set of golf clubs with me.

This time I will be renting a house to the West of Khon Kaen at Ban Pet, just past the large lake close to Sri Chan road.

 

I would love to have a few English speaking friends to occasionally meet.

Any advice on having a game of golf?

I was told that a few expats meet at the pub near the large lake to the South of KK, Lake Kaen Nakhon and that one person organizes some golf matches?

Any suggestions on a Gym or swimming pool that I could use?

Any other meet ups? To socialize, maybe play cards or just have a friendly chat?

playing golf,going to the gym,swimming,cards,meeting expats in the pubs,well keith havent you FORGOT someone else.

Joke aside, seems to be quite a few of the expats that talk about playing golf, when I am out having a few drinks in the "farang bars" in KKC.
