rooster59 Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 Mae Ai and Chiang Dao in far north recovering after floods By THE NATION CHIANG MAI:-- SOME 1,700 households in Chiang Mai’s Mae Ai district were affected by flooding from forest run-off after continuous heavy downpours, a senior official said yesterday. Pirin Limcharoen, chief of the Chiang Mai Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, said many areas in the province, especially Mae Ai, had been inundated since Thursday evening. Overflows from Mae Na Wang creek flooded eight villages in tambon Ban Luang and nine villages in tambon San Ton Mue before flowing into the Fang River.
