No need to help my puppy, it's just a con says "pretty"

A "pretty" has gone to the cops to say that someone has been using her Line account to con her friends.

She said that people had been asked to transfer funds to pay for the vet's bills for her pooch.

But Wannapa Riaproi, 33, - a woman who promotes various products - said that it was not her asking for the donations.

She went to tech police yesterday to make a complaint that a con-artist was pretending to be her on her "Wannapa Pumpui" profile on the Line application.

The dog - a stray she has taken under her wing - had an accident Monday. Some of her friends parted with 2,000 baht to help the mutt.

Can Pumpui take me under her wing? Look at the Coppers face trying to not burst out laughing!

Do you think he may have been a little more serious if he was actually dealing with an attractive woman.? Pretty silly eh?

So, because the word ''pretty'' is used to describe someone reporting on online scam involving identity theft/fraud [something that usually gets people irate] this case is just an excuse to extract the urine?

Strange world indeed

BP I do agree with you, even having posted a comment myself that can be construed as a PT, but bear in mind, "pretties" have not made themselves too popular lately, (Zomby comes to mind) and frankly would the story have been any less interesting had it merely said a 33 year old woman had her Line account hijacked in a scam etc....?

Yeah, I see your point, there have been a lot of negative stories about these models recently and a lot do seem to have "issues".

However, there does seem to be an assumption that if a  "pretty" is involved then the story shouldn't be taken seriously.

Usually, if I'm honest, that is the case. However this time it is about identity theft, something that can be quite harrowing for those who fall victim to it.

Anyway, I've just got up and I need a coffee...

That's a pretty? Interesting!

Google "celebrities with no makeup" and look at some of the famous ones.

She's not bad compared with ___________. (I promised my Mom I wouldn't say anything if I couldn't say something nice)

The Vanity business is rife with quasi-Orwellian double-speak.

She is a pretty only within the bounds of the 'beauty' industry, where taste is dictated by profit rather than by the individual. It starts with the idealised symmetrical faces of celebrities and then develops into a bland, mediocre, uniform plastic and ridiculous nose, just like all the other plastic and ridiculous noses.

That's why she's a pretty.

This hacking LINE and Facebook thing is very real. Some these pretties and Online retailers in Thailand like to use their LINE, FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM accounts to sell their products online n they would have alot of contacts and customers.

But alot them for eg my friend have very poor understanding of privacy and security of their email n social media accounts.

Usually they just used link everything to 1 handphone number and use their birth dates, id numbers or hp numbers as their passwords hence making it easy for these scam artists hacking into their accounts.

usually these hackers and scammers will hack at 1am to 4am the time where most ppl r asleep.

the moment they r into your account they will change your email accounts linking to your facebook n line and change it to their email accounts making it impossible for u to retrieve it.

then they will start making up some scam for eg in this case the puppy needs to see a vet, or asking everyone for the due or previously owed payment for the product or some other excuses and they will ask u to transfer money to a certain bank account.

When the victims realise it by then it will be too late. reporting the case to RTP can do n help nothing cos they r not experts in IT and cannot recover your online accounts for u. If the case is commited in another province, u might have to get police from another province to take up the case. even then the RTP most likely will just write a report and not be bothered to do anything.

If today u think u r safe n dont need to worry about your facebook or line or tweeter, think again.

I know a guy who specialises in getting these hacked facebook email accounts back for them for a fee.

(sometimes i wonder if he is the one hacking em and asking for a fee to to help retrieve lol)

This guy is so good he can knows how to hack into your accounts and look at your private messages and settings.

always have multiple layers of security like 2-3 step password and OTP password for all your online accounts.

u might think so that only the gullible would be easy to fool but say if somebody real close to u suddenly contacted u via facebook or some social media site asking for financial help for some emergency.

Even the some of best of us would be wanting to help at the 1st moment for our loved ones only to realise the scam later.

When ever theres something in the news about pretty's,despite the topic, there's a bunch of idiots that always want to criticize the girl. She doesnt give a f##K if you think she's pretty or not.You will never matter, nor your opinions,in her life.I think there are a lot of very sad men with erections who love to state "i dont think she's pretty" on TV.Why dont you all just give it a rest? I bet if you had the chance, you wouldnt roll over her to get to me.

Sent from my toilet, using my bum gun.

Good one Dave.

Question is, if someone did rollover her, what have you to offer them
