Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 edition 2016

Is anyone having problems buying this tablet here?

I have been to around 6 outlets in my area today and last weekend all having the tablet on display with free case promotion but typically in this country when you want to buy you are told that the product is not in stock.

I was told today that Samsung are limiting sale of this tablet to just 200 in Thailand, can't believe that but if true what are Samsung Thailand playing at?

A shop assistant had a theory that it is a deliberate ploy by Samsung to attract customers into stores with this tablet on display in the hope that they will buy older Samsung tablets instead that are in stock?

Does anyone know what is going on?

Over my years of buying items on "promotion/sale" I've found it very common for individual stores to carry small quantities like maybe only 3 to 5.  I say 3 to 5 because one time we went to Lotus to buy an electronic item on promotion...of course out of stock...and the sales assistant said many times they only get a quantity of 3 to 5 of a sales item and then they must reorder.   Heck, when I walk around the mobile phone/tablet sales area in a Lotus many of the display items have a red sticker on their pricing label with a projected restocking date of several weeks down the road.  A person could think the item is selling like hotcakes but maybe it's simply because they sold out very quick due to a very low stockage level.    Now obviously that's not true for all items on promotion because many times you'll see dozens stacked up in the floor especially if it's a lower cost  item.
