Alleged police killer shot dead by anti-narcotic officers

 

CHIANG MAI:-- A suspected drug trafficker wanted for killing a police officer in Chiang Mai on Wednesday was shot dead by police after two days of manhunt.

 

The suspect, identified as Prasert Laolee, a Lisor tribesman, allegedly shot dead Pol L/Cpl Sirayuth Noi-aroon while a team of anti-narcotic officers raided a house in Ban Lisor, Mae Tang district, in search of illicit drugs.

I wonder if he tried to surrender? Firefights can be one sided... not that he deserved to live or any of that. Probably best for all he couldn't spill any beans

Shooting is better then him committing  suicide; from the shoe laces in his flip flops.

Really no information that could be gathered from him alive?

I mean if the point is to dismantle a supply trail, he'll be now of no help for any progress

That may have been the point. In any event, (alleged) cop-killers generally have a much poorer chance of being captured alive than the average murder suspect.

Police Catch and Kill Police Killer

CityNews – 35 year old Prasert Laolee who shot and killed a police officer in Mae Taeng District earlier this week, escaping into the jungle and evading arrest for two days, has been caught and shot to death during his arrest.

 

Prasert Laole shot Police Lance Corporal Siriyut Noiarun on November 29th during a drug bust gone bad. Police hunted him down and found him in a small hut in the mountains of Pa Pae Sub District of Mae Taeng. Prasert allegedly reached for his gun and the police shot him to death.
