Public officials were busy in the Sai Yok area yesterday reclaiming three plots of land comprising some 3,000 rai.

The land was subject to illegal encroachment by the Tiger temple, an unnamed association and another unnamed influential individual.

The land includes various properties illegally constructed. All the plots are in the Sai Yok area of Kanchanaburi.

The land will have public access in future.

It has been exactly 180 days since the raid on the Tiger Temple, and still the abbot and/or the members of his board have not been charged with tiger trafficking or illegal wildlife trade or possession. Is there still anyone that things it might happen, I don't.

I guess the '' unnamed '' will not have to pay the cost involved in reclaiming 3000 rai. Wonder if anyone has put a figure on income the temple took in, is it properly audited and in a bank account, etc?

I have wondered who takes in the most money during a year, the temples, RTP, drug transactions, or tea money flowing to government employees from private contractors? The total amount from the 4 may be greater than many countries total budget.

His secretary, the one who was caught fleeing with a car full of tiger parts, has been charged, as have several temple staff.  The Abott may get away without charge as all at the temple stated that it all went on without his knowledge.

Yes  it  is  a  shame  if the Abott  gets away  without  charge.  This  is Thailand  and  of course  the Abott  could

possibly be  innocent. I  highly  doubt  that  though. Glad   to  hear that  the secretary  and  some  staff

have  been charged  so  far

Until the ''Unnamed'' individual and the ''unnamed association'' are made known to the general public, or a good reason why not, it will be difficult to know who the targets should be.

It seems that its another case of someone not doing proper enforcement of the rule of law and/or being selective in who they go after. This may be due favors they recieve or orders from their bosses, but the taxpayer is entitled to know ''the rest of the story''.
