Wiko lenny 3 2016

Featured Replies

Can anybody comment on the quality of this phone? It is the 2016 model with 16gb storage and 2gb ram.

Wiko is a French brand but Chinese-owned company.

They rebrand phones from their mother company i.e. Chinese manufacturer Tinno.

They're extremely popular in France (ranking 2nd right after Samsung in sales volume ... and before Apple) because of their low-cost models and very aggressive marketing (a new model comes out almost every month!).

They're trying to set foot in Thailand now, their obvious target is the main local rebrander I-Mobile. They're on the same market segment.

I've had quite a few of their models and I follow them closely. Some of their models are real bargains, offer great features/price ratio  and are of good quality. Some others are total crap. Therefore it's hard to give a grade to Wiko "on average".

The Lenny 3 definitely is a success, a much better phone than its predecessors (Lenny / Lenny 2). The 16G version sells like hot cake in France. It's reasonably well built, has a very decent screen, good performance for a low-cost model and seems quite reliable. I have seen very little negative feedback about this model on the various Android forums I follow.

Here in Thailand both versions (8G and 16G) are available. IMO it compares favourably to I-Mobile models in the same price range.

Yes, it lacks 4G (LTE) but that doesn't make it less usable in all countries. Wrong information.
