Is there anyone with indept experience from diving / ocean swimming who know if t-shirts /shirts/ shorts ala "Mares lycra" will protect my body from jellyfish stings when swim longer distance in the ocean?

I have used them for snorkeling, they work however there are still parts of your body exposed. During snorkeling I even had stingers at my lips. So its not full proof but it helps.

Thanks, I guess a sleeveless half "wet suit" (0.5 mm) ala triathlon wetsuit would be best but hard to find here.
