Mini vans bangkok to cha am?

Featured Replies

Since all the vans got moved out of victory monument, where do the hua hin / cha am buses leave from now?

Thanks in advance.

Pinklao, the old bus station there (Sai Tai Kao) and it's a complete pain in the *** to get there

There is a free shuttle bus that runs from Victory Monument to Pinklao

A big bus is better if you value your life ,and if you are at the bus station already why not

Don't get in a minivan......if you value your life.

Never again for me.

To actually give you an answer, the tiny minivan station in on the north street of a pair of narrowly separated parallel streets collectively known as the Soi Bus Station. Actually 90% of the establishments on this pair of streets are bars.

The terminal is near the Chao Lai end (west) of the street. These streets intersect the Ruamjit Alley (beach road) on the west end of the pair.

It is directly between the Party Bar and the Dara Bar & Restaurant. Just get anywhere on that pair of streets and ask for the bus or minivan terminal and anyone will point you too it. They have all been asked a million times.

To be precise follow this link.

I have only had two minivan rides Bangkok to Cha-am. Both drivers were safe near as I could tell.

The traffic is so thick they really couldn't go very fast anyway.

That said, S**t happens, and some or many of the drivers are bad ones if given a chance.

For 2500 baht you can hire a private taxi at either end of the trip. These guys are a lot more careful and you can control them better if need be.
The mini-van is only a few baht for comparison. I think it was ~$5USD.

On a good day it's less than three hours, on a bad day it could be 30 minutes or more later.

The OP is asking where they run from now in BKK not from Cha Am to BKK

Some but I don't know if all minibus companies are now departing from Mo Chit bus station, 5 minutes from Mo Chit BTS, a lot more convenient to get to than Pnklao
